Clay Date - Community Open Studio
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is your time to come into the studio and make something.
Clay Dates are casual, social, and easy to say yes to.
Come solo or with a friend. Either way, you’ll have a place here. Beginners welcome!
You can book this in two ways:
• Open Studio to work on your own pieces
• Workshop Light for a small guided project
Bring a snack or drink to share, or just show up as you are.
How it works
Your $20 booking gives you access to the studio for a 4-hour window. Come and go as it fits your schedule.
You’ll have access to:
- Pottery wheels (we have two)
- Slab roller
- Templates, forms, rollers
- Studio tools and equipment
Open studio (without instruction) is self-led, with help available if you need it.
Create at your own pace and clean up your space when you’re done.
There aren’t many ways to spend $20 and get this much time or materials in a studio!
Clay & Firing
Clay is purchased separately for $5 per pound and includes:
- bisque firing
- wax & glazing with dip glazes in-studio
- glaze firing at cone 6
- leave your pieces on our shelves through drying and firing
You’re also welcome to bring your own clay (once validated). Firing is available for a separate fee. If you bring your own clay, pieces will need to be picked up shortly after firing.
You’ll also be able to finish your pieces with our dipping glazes:
Winterwood
A creamy matte white with soft brown crystal variation
Chun Red
A glossy glaze with a warm cream base and variegation of red and rust tones
Sea Mist
A soft blue-green with a semi-gloss finish and subtle variation
Hyacinth
A glossy glaze with gentle shifts between cream and light lavender tones
Mediterranean Mist
A glossy blue with soft variegation in layered shades of blue
Honey Flux
A warm, honey-toned glaze with fluid movement and variation
Clear
A glossy transparent finish that enhances the natural clay
Each glaze has its own character with movement and variation. No flat finishes here.
Test tiles on each clay body are available in the studio.
A few notes
- No experience needed (most people are beginners)
- Bring your own bats if you have them (we also have boards available)
- Clean-up is your responsibility
- Please read studio rules when you arrive

The community is very welcoming. Facility is great. Stacy is always trying to provide more tools and items to the studio so she can build a strong community of people who enjoys doing pottery. She recently added dipping glaze!
Loved the experience. I had a great evening and the projects are easy to follow also as a beginner. Stacy is there to support and help you out if you have questions. I am proud of my mug and I would love to come back for other ideas and projects. 🥰
I enjoyed the experience! It was so lovely to have that space to practice again!
Fantastic service - Stacy is so kind, knowlegable and was so patient answering my many questions.I opted to pickup the clay and sculpt at home, which she was happy to facilitate - visiting the studio spac, it was very professionally laid out and an incredible resouce to makers in our area. Couldn't recomend enough!
