Clay Date - Community Open Studio
Couldn't load pickup availability
This listing is for you to book a spot to use the studio during community open hours.
Clay Dates are a casual way to be in community. The studio is open and bringing a snack or drink you don't mind sharing is encouraged (but not required).
The $20 fee is for you to come or go within the 4 hour window as suits your needs. It includes access to the wheels, slab roller, templates, rollers, forms, and all non-consumables.
We have two wheels; this booking includes access. We have boards you can use, but bringing your own bats if you have them.
There is no instruction during open studio - though there's always help! You make your own pieces using available materials or glaze, etc. Clean-up on your own.
Clay is purchased separately from the studio. Clay is $5/lb and includes both firings. Or, you may bring your own clay and have it fired separately for a fee.
If you purchase our clay, you may keep your pieces on our shelves for both the Drying Room and firing. If using your own clay, you will need to pick-up your pieces within a day or two of them being fired. You can coordinate with Stacy:

I enjoyed the experience! It was so lovely to have that space to practice again!
Fantastic service - Stacy is so kind, knowlegable and was so patient answering my many questions.I opted to pickup the clay and sculpt at home, which she was happy to facilitate - visiting the studio spac, it was very professionally laid out and an incredible resouce to makers in our area. Couldn't recomend enough!
Beyond tickle at the projects I first to work on. I took two different workshops and two different open hooffice hours to glaze. Open hours you kind of do your own thing while workshops are instructor lead. Stacy and the other participants are kind people.
Lovely evening
