This listing is for you to sign-up for 4-week hand-building pottery classes.
Each week we will learn a specific technique with your choice of project within the framework. General structure is as follows:
- Week 1 - Slab rolling: floating bowl or charcuterie
- Week 2 - Pinch pot: pinch a mug body & pull a handle
- Week 3 - Coil: bowl, weave, braid, pebble or swirl
- Week 4 - Glazing (incl special techniques) & finishing
Instructor is available for help and instruction for any other requested projects during class times, which includes any tools in studio: slab roller, templates, rollers, forms, etc.
Classes are 2 hours, with a half-hour buffer each for set-up and clean-up (3 hour total window). If you are unable to attend a class you may makeup the hours at a Clay Date open studio time for free (no instruction).
Clay is purchased separately from the studio. Clay is $5/lb and includes both firings as well as glaze, underglaze, and transfers. You will have dedicated shelf space during the 4 week class period.
If you'd like to do this with a friend, I suggest purchasing available spots at the same time (if it fills up I cannot open more spots).
